Let’s go back to the saying breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Is that just a myth or is there some truth to it? Let’s see what experts say about it.
Weight control
It sounds a little off to say that if you don’t skip meals, then you can control your weight better. However, it is the truth according to many studies. If you do take the time to eat breakfast in the morning, your hunger will be reduced during the day, makes sense. This alone will develop into you making better nutritional choices throughout the day because you are not starving.
Also, eating 3 meals a day, a balance diet and exercising is better lifestyle than skipping meals and eating sporadically thought the day. Apparently, your body will lose or maintain weight better if it follows a routine: so, get on it!
Mental awareness & energy
Not only children can benefit from eating breakfast. They need it to be able to focus in class, that’s a fact. You need it to focus at work or taking care of your daily activities, that’s another fact. How can you ask your body and mind to perform all these activities without fuel? Your way to process information, reason, create and learn will be affected by the way you eat or if you eat.
You need a stable intake of energy, including glucose. You need it to keep moving! The better you eat, the more energy you will have and be able to perform the physical activities you want also. Seems simple, doesn’t it?
