You want better things in life. Perhaps a better salary, higher social status, or more respect from the people around you. You want your today to be better than yesterday, and tomorrow to be better than today. And, you deserve it. Really!
Not because you have been dreaming of it for so long, but also because you’ve been working to achieve it. Yet, you somehow miss the train every time. You constantly ask yourself what it is you’re lacking. Or is it just bad luck?
Bad luck? Hardworking people are the creators of their own destiny, and you are not an exception. You’re also an all-around nice person, very genuine and kind.
So, why aren’t you getting what you deserve?
Maybe you are too generous, and your generosity is working against you. Or perhaps you never ask for what you really want, or you’re unsure how to ask for it. All this, when added up, is preventing you from achieving what you desire in life, and what you deserve.
Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean you can’t get it NOW! You can, without losing your self-identity, your generosity, or your self-respect.
You only need to discover the most effective way to communicate and express what you want in your relationships, at work, with your family, friends, and life. Sound tough?
In this book, you’ll find the blueprint of an effective communication style that equips you with the skills of expressing, asking, and receiving what you want in life. Best part?
The lessons imparted in this book are actionable and adaptable to your everyday life. You will find it easy to identify situations you can relate to and apply the knowledge you will learn in your day-to-day life.
I have been studying different communication techniques and picking out a few that will equip anyone to be a winner in their life. However, the assertive style of communication has always stood out. I have been using this communication style every day, trying to better understand how it is best executed in each aspect of my life: work, relationships, family, friends, and personal development.
To tell the truth, I feel empowered in every aspect of my life when I started being more aware of using more assertive style of communication. I feel constantly increasing power to have more control over my life.
And now, I want you to experience the same! I want you to seize control of your life; to be empowered to control your life situations.
Reading this book will take you on a unique journey where you discover a new self. You will work with your strengths rather than lamenting your weaknesses. It will shift your entire perspective to what you can do to achieve what you have been aiming for.
It will give you a balanced perspective of your life, a solid idea of the know-how and essential techniques to achieve what you want in your life through assertive behavior and communication. It will guide you through understanding assertiveness in the right context, the skills to use it appropriately in your personal life, and some workable techniques to develop these skills of communication into an empowered lifestyle.
If you ask me one thing I can share from my expertise as a communication coach that will help you to lead a happier and more fulfilled life, I will always tell you to discover the power of assertive style of communication to express your wants and needs. I always advise people looking to learn effective communication skills to learn this assertive style.
Imagine people getting that pay raise or promotion after applying the techniques they learned in this book. Or, the couple whose marital success can be attributed to the style of communication they learned here. These are only some of the success stories I heard. What will your success story look like after reading this book? Imagine what it will look like - and share it with me. I eagerly await it.
Also, I promise that whatever you imagined will soon be a reality, provided you follow this blueprint. Along this path, you’ll gain knowledge, wisdom, and the art of building your power. Not your physical power, but the inner potent power of assertiveness. This may be the only power you lack to get the life you want.
The lessons you’ll learn along this journey will give you techniques to look inward, discover your strengths, and feel empowered. It will teach you how to use assertiveness to reach your end goals, whether in relationships, business, career, or just in everyday life.
The big question is: Why should you learn the assertive style of communication? The answer lies in the life situations where you currently feel you are stuck. Or might be stuck soon, if you don’t learn these communication techniques now.
You may be feeling frustrated with your job, health, relationships, or financial security – that’s enough to make you wonder what’s wrong.
If you really wish to move ahead and stop feeling stuck in life, you need to take action today. You already know deep in your mind that something needs to change, and that change must happen now.
It’s high time you stopped playing victim to your circumstances. It’s time to be the master of your own destiny. If it doesn’t happen now, it probably won’t much later. So
