Living as Disciples of God
()
About this ebook
In this e-book, I examine how to be disciples of God. I believe being a disciple of God is one of the most important things that we can do to grow in Holiness and to get closer to God. And we all can do a lot better in this domain of our Christian life.
During these Covid-19 times, we have a unique opportunity to turn inward more and to grow in discipleship. We get a rare chance to spend more time with God in silent prayer. And we get an opportunity, because we have the time, to live as God lived.
We can start by asking ourselves, what would God do in this situation. Would he extend as much help and love as well as support to those who are most vulnerable? Would he reach out to people who are sick and elderly and at least offer companionship? Would he pray fervently for the best end to this pandemic? Would he pray for priest and frontline medical workers during this pandemic?
I think we can all answer the above questions in the affirmative. So, let’s do our part too during this pandemic. Let’s reach out to the elderly by phoning them, let’s pray fervently and let’s all stay safe.
And since we have time on our hands, let’s all take the time to grow in holiness and get closer to God. If you haven’t read my previous book on how to grow in holiness (also published through Smashwords), please do so. These two e-books can help you grow in faith and to become more resilient during these tough times right now. And what’s great is that at the end of this pandemic, we will all be able to take some of the habits, attitudes and mindsets we learned during these last few weeks and months with us into the world. Because the world will be changed because of this pandemic, and perhaps something as important as our faith will have to take top priority.

About the Author
Introduction
It can be hard to live as disciples of God. However, by taking, conscious actions every day, you can live as Christ’s disciples. There are certain ways we can live to please God. The faith a disciple has in his heart should be displayed in the way (s)he thinks, talks, and acts.
Before we consider the ways in which a disciple should live, we should carefully consider what it means to be a true disciple of God. A disciple of God is one who first admits he is a sinner before God and that he has no hope of getting to heaven by his own efforts without God’s help.
Second, he should believe the plan announced by all of God’s prophets – the plan by which God can forgive the sins of the children of God. That plan was the death of Jesus Christ on the
