And today, online bookstores list over 22,000 books on creativity alone: how to spark it, explain it, guide it, or find it. Creativity, it seems, is a hot topic not least for finding personal fulfilment and, authors Scott Kaufman and Carolyn Gregoire describe the typical creative as being a mess of contradictions, a “multitude” - a person with messy processes and a messy mind, more chaotic than controlled, more spontaneous than linear.
