About this ebook

About the many misconceptions and different opinions about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in particular, about the rapture of His Church.

We must comfort one another with the blessed hope of the Lord's return. The world today is divided between the truth and the lie. Jesus is the Truth. The Word will reveal the truth.

The Great Tribulation is the judgement of Israel and unbelievers, not the Gentile Church.  There are two appearances of the Lord Jesus Christ: the Rapture: coming in the air, not on the earth, for the saints.  The Second advent: to earth with His saints to reign.

The Church will not go through the tribulation.  References are made to the Word that clearly indicates this. It is shown that the anti-Christ has not yet revealed, as certain things must happen before that. The 2017 sign in the sky is discussed, with specific analysis of the time and timing of events. What must we do until the second coming? What must a believer's mindset be?

In a world that is falling apart, and for many believers that it seems that there is no hope, the blessed hope is shared of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose return is imminent.  The only way that all the troubles and problems of this current world can be solved, is for our Lord to return, and take His children with Him, and to judge the world and establish His eternal Kingdom on earth.

There is Hope - Gideon Robbertse

    Foreword

This booklet is mainly about the many misconceptions and different opinions about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in particular, about the rapture of His Church. You will read that there are two comings: one for His bride, and then after the tribulation with His bride. But I know already that not everyone that reads this will agree with the contents. Even the Word of God predicted that! That is why I ask you not to agree with anything said herein, but go and test it against the Word. And that is why I have used endnotes referring to the Word authority for the statement made in the text. I urge you to read the text and if there is a endnote, read it immediately after the line.

In a world that is falling apart, and for many believers that it seems that there is no hope, I want to share with you the blessed hope of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose return is imminent. The only way that all the troubles and problems of this current world can be solved, is for our Lord to return, and take His children with Him and to judge the world and establish His eternal Kingdom on earth. For me, that is one of the greatest things that still makes me exited! Praise our Lord for His patience, and His great love for us who does not wish that anyone perishes.

To Him all the praise and glory!

    1) COMFORT

The Word says that we must comfort each other. [1]Why must we do it? Because we are very close to the end times, where everything is beginning to fall apart, where the great falling away is taking place, and end time prophecies are being fulfilled.

[2]In the last days[3], difficult times will come.[4] How will these last days be? The Word says that "For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.[5] "....so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.’’

[6]I have to ask you: please do not resist the Truth. Jesus has said that the days of the Son of man will be like in the days of Noah.[7] He also compared the days when He will be revealed[8] with the days of Lot. People did eat, and drank and got married, and Noah went into the ark, and all people were destroyed. This refers to the judgement by the Lord on the world. How was it in the days of Noah?

"The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. [9]This word corrupt comes from the Hebrew word shachath meaning decay or ruin or waste. The days of Lot is marked with homosexuality. Today the homosexual lifestyle is not just protected, it is celebrated. Since 2001, 14 countries have fully legalized homosexual marriage, including South Africa. Jesus also said that ".In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world".  [10] Though much tribulation do we enter into the
