NALU KEA is a very cool boat, the last haole sampan of its kind made in Hawai‘i. I get calls and letters from lots of people who remember and yearn for the experience of fishing on the beautiful old sampan hulls. This is the account of one such guy, George Mills, who in the late ’70s traveled here from Washington for another sweet lick at the lollipop.
