Local fur buyers are great outlets to use for selling your pelts. Depending on their pickup schedules, you may be able to sell more often throughout a season, and you can discuss the furs and prices offered face to face. But, to get a good price for your fur, it’s extremely helpful to have a good understanding of the fur market. It is not as easy as just trapping or hunting a furbearer and receiving a check for your hard work. There was a time when that was possible, but those days are long gone. Nowadays, to get a good price for your fur you will need to take care of it properly from the moment it was taken right up until it is in the hands of the buyer.
