DENON AVR-X2400H
The Denon AVR-X2400H is the latest evolution of one of the company’s mid-tier home theatre receivers. There isn’t at first glance that much difference from the previous model, but a lot of technology has bedded in, and as we’ll see, the very latest surround standards from DTS were provided in the factory firmware, or added during the course of the review by means of a firmware update.
EQUIPMENT
What the Denon AVR-X2400H delivers is seven channels of 95 watts, and each channel is capable of supporting four-ohm loudspeakers. The Dolby Atmos/Surround and DTS:X capabilities are limited to a maximum of seven channels, which means a maximum of two overhead ones. Line-level outputs are provided only for a subwoofer (two sockets carrying the same signal).
There are eight HDMI inputs. All support Ultra-HD signals to the highest standards from Ultra-HD Blu-ray, both video and audio. There are legacy component and composite video inputs and outputs, but the analogue video is not converted to HDMI so
