“Since its inception, almost 10 years ago, DNAlysis has focused exclusively on the field of nutrigenomics, assisting healthcare practitioners in providing personalised nutrition and lifestyle advice based on a genetic test. We have always been mindful of the clinical benefits and potential cost savings inherent in pharmacogenetic testing, and so it was only a matter of time before we were going to launch this test.”

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PUT THIS IDEA INTO ACTION?

“The availability of cloud-based interpretation and reporting systems, combined with DNAlysis upscaling the laboratory infrastructure, meant that the time was appropriate to launch this test into the South African market.”
