The wellness tourism industry is now worth US$639 billion globally and is growing more than twice as fast as general tourism, according to the ABTA’s (Association of British Travel Agents) 2019 Travel Trends Report. But these days there’s more to a healthy holiday than simply getting a massage – from hiking retreats to spiritual odysseys, there’s a wellbeing niche for everyone.
