JOHN MORELAND was eager to dispel his “sad bastard” reputation with 2017’s , on which he expanded his soundtakes a similar approach, but, if anything, feels even more assured. The Tulsa-based songwriter went through a mini-crisis to get here, overcoming writer’s block and eventually discovering “mindfulness and being kinder to myself”.
