SILVER LINING

For 14-year-old Sofia Melnychuck, Nov. 6, 2018 won’t be just an ordinary day. It will be the three-year anniversary of a day that started as any other day, but ended with a life-changing event that launched her into a fight for her health, a journey for answers, and months of silver-lining moments.

On Nov. 6, 2015, Sofia was the victim of a mild bullying incident that ended in her being accidentally slammed into a metal cabinet during class. Classmates said it sounded like a bomb went off; it was her head hitting steel.
