A. The great historian of fascism Roger Griffin has noted, about the “bewilderingly wide range of ideal types of their essential definitional traits [that have] accumulated over time”, that “there is no objective way of resolving the differences between them.” I agree with Griffin; it would be foolish not to, given the literature.
