At a time when more and more doctors give out nature prescriptions
because being close to green spaces makes you less depressed, boosts your immunity, and inspires your creativity, is it surprising that nature-venerating movements are gaining in popularity?
As people become more conscious of the consequences of living an unbalanced life, they seek a way of life, including a way of worshipping, that will help them find harmony both within themselves and with their environment.
There are many ways to practice Wicca and many different traditions to choose from, however, one thing they all have in common is reverence of Nature. If you can spiritually connect with animals, plants, natural elements, or landscapes, it will be easy to draw energy and guidance from them.
So, how do you promote balanced living and become a part of the web of life? You can start by harmonizing yourself with the natural cycles, and one of the ways of achieving that is by following the Wiccan calendar and observing the Sabbats.
The eight seasonal festivals mark the time of the year when major changes take place in Nature. For this reason, Wiccans consider Sabbats as auspicious times to tap into the energy of Mother Earth and bring changes into your own life.
The highlight of the Wiccan year, and the most important of all the Sabbats, is the Samhain, the Festival of the Dead. This Sabbat also marks the beginning of the Wiccan New Year and many Wiccans use it to perform rituals which help them turn a new leaf in their lives.
Rituals are essential to Wicca, and while you can do them successfully in the privacy of your home, whenever possible, Wiccans worship outdoors. The trick
