Pending further investigation, Mayor Steven Fulop refrained from assigning a specifically anti-Semitic motive in the shooting Tuesday that left six people dead, including one police officer.

The shootings that left at least three civilians and one police officer dead Tuesday in Jersey City, N.J., was a targeted attack, according to local authorities.
