This book is intended for people in Lima, residents or visitors, who wish to know a bit more about what they are looking at. The book identifies the species with photographs and descriptions, the latter in the form of haikus. It also discusses the special features of Lima's climate and geography which are beneficial for the flowers and for the time they remain there to enjoy.
    As an introduction, the book also provides some guidance about when to visit Lima, considering the climate at the coast and in the mountains, and also the trees which are flowering in Lima at any given time.
