What you read in the following pages is an attempt is to give life tips in bite-sized chunks! You may choose to read the book in the order of the pages, or just browse through in any page which interests you.
Every topic is a new insight into how Your LIFE journey can be a shade better, by either imbibing that quality – and just in case that is already there in your ‘armor’, just plain reinforcing it – and passing it on to others.
Also, to re-iterate, every page or topic touched upon in the pages of this book has the thought or the seed for a thought, which could have a positive impact on YOUR life, irrespective of what stage YOU are in now.

Optimism and Joyful Living - Muralidharan Dhanapalan
Preface
Life is short, and each one of us are here to play it to our best – and win… by winning, I mean not just material success, but much more than that – a meaningful, self-determined and wonderful journey, where every day is an adventure of sorts, and every encounter one small step towards a little more learning and wisdom.
This book has been possible and is in front of you not because I have chosen to do – it is the fruition of my gleanings and learning from a whole world of LIFE literature, if I can make the right choice of words.
My gratitude list for this book is going to be endless – I will keep it brief. I thank all those success and life coach authors who have given a whole lot of wisdom over the years and continue to enrich this world, and our lives.
Thanks to my parents, my family, my friends and well-wishers who have always seen the perfect persona in me, despite the bundle of imperfection I am.
What you read in the following pages is my humble attempt is to give life tips in bite-sized chunks!
Now to what winning means –not the YOU getting a whole lot of fame, power or even loads of money; I mean more than that for YOU. Winning by doing things that you would love to do more, and in the process, be happy, and get to a level to success as defined by you, only by you!
Let’s see how most of us would define the term winning or being successful – most of us have somehow come to the conclusion that winning is synonymous with not having any problems or challenges in this wonderful journey called life.
The reason why most of us, including me and you want to be rich and famous – while we may not admit that as blatantly – the fact of the matter is that –we have somehow come to believe that being rich and famous is a sure shot to happiness.
Nothing can be far from true – the rich and famous do have come to the point where they are, after playing hard in the game of life, until they reached where they are now – as seen and adored by all of us.
If you look up to the meaning of success/winning, it says – something completed well or a goal reached. What it means is that success is the outcome of a process – and that process is Life or living well. Unless you attempt to live life fully and well –invest all your time, energy and efforts in living well, you can be sure that success is going to take even longer in knocking your door.
Success is not the destination; it's a way to travel.
- Denis Waitley
Be YOU – Stop ‘comparisitis’!
Right at the beginning, you may think why this – but take my word on this – comparisons are the biggest bane we all face in our life journey! Comparisitis
, as I would call itis the single most important block to your happiness and success.
What do I mean by comparisitis
? It’s the most dreadful thing that can affect your mind and soul if left unattended to. That that lingering tendency in you to be someone else – live life by someone else’s standards - to peg you and your life against peers, friends, relatives, and the rest of the world!
To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. - E E Cummins 1955
So, know this, and live this - comparisitis in not the natural choice of being! By drawing comparisons to YOU, you are putting yourself to unnecessary stress, and making such a pleasant experience of life into a fight of sorts – and things which are quite natural to you, become otherwise.
What would you want the journey of life to be – a loving, every-moment-enjoyed spectacular journey or a dreaded battle, where you don’t even feel life getting up in the morning every day, dreading the fight - a fight that is of your own creation!
Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry - Oscar Wilde, De Profundis, 1905
The cardinal rule of life is to have a strong belief that LIFE is unique and YOU are unique too! It’s one fact you ought to realize – the journey of YOUR life is so UNIQUE, only you can make the best of it – by just being YOU.
I am sure you will not want to squander your journey, by making it a mime of someone else’s footprint! Be yourself, in your wonderful journey! Shun comparisitis in you today! And if you would want to help others, please ask them to do so as well!
I have no doubt whatsoever, that YOU are courageous and would want to live only your signature.
It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are
E. E. Cummings
Positivity, yes have loads of it; follow it by ACTION!
There is a whole new age movement on this topic, which I too love and live by – being positive. To use another word, be optimistic in any situation – even be it the darkest moments of life – there is honestly nothing so; it’s all your perception! , or what seem so, look for the brighter side!
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." – Winston Churchill.
So, for each one of us out here savoring this great journey of life, it is important to stay positive, and look for the brighter side in every situation, every endeavor – it is said that if you have the positive outcome in mind, and do your best, then success or what is desired MUST and WILL come your way!
But, a little more than being optimistic and staying positive is needed for each of us.
And THAT is the most important element that will be a success or outcome determinant - that is ACTION. ACTION, in even small measures every single day will move you to what you what to want to get!
"You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination." – Ralph Marston
So, it’s all fine to stay determined, and look for the positive, be an incorrigible optimist!
But that mindset has to be backed by ACTION, even if in little incremental measures, by the hour, by the day and by
