      MULTIPLE SIDE HUSTLES

      The goal of multiple side hustles is to live a life where your side hustles pay for your daily expenses until you have enough savings to invest (1-2 years).

      Every investor has a different income and thus some have more to invest in their funds.  Thus, the amount that different people contribute to their investment fund can vary wildly.  To take full advantage of compound interest and other factors, exactly how much should you be investing?

      As with everything in investing, there is no correct answer for every individual.  The common answer is 10% of your income, meaning every paycheck 10% of it should be set aside and used only for adding to your portfolio.  Aim for this number in general, as it is an easy sum to remember in addition to adding a decent amount every month.

      However, if you can afford to add more than 10%, it is highly recommended that you do so.  Tax-deferred accounts such as 401K and IRAs have a limited amount that can be put in every year, and maxing out that amount is a fantastic problem to have.  Therefore, investing above and beyond that limit (in other accounts) is risky because of potential taxes, but well worth it if you can ensure high gains.  Refer to the section on taxes to understand how to allocate your funds.

      Compound interest favors large amounts of money, so putting in extra every month will definitely increase the output of your funds.  Every month add 10%, or everything you feel comfortable investing.
