Meeting new people is something many people find uncomfortable, but for a select few of us, it can be almost unbearable.

Some people find solace in prescribed pills, meditation or different breathing exercises. These can all be effective, when utilized correctly, but if they’re not, they can prove to be useless at best, and potentially damaging at worst.
Overcoming Social Anxiety Disorder requires a different set of strategies - counterintuitive ones. Left uncontrolled, anxiety tends to grow more and more due when a persons amygdala (the part of our brain responsible for regulating anxiety) becomes hyperactive and the situation continues to worsen.
