About this ebook

In order to be loving and kind to others, we must really be loving and kind to ourselves. The author brings forward a concept called the 'kindness thermostat' that helps people build their kindness levels. Kind of like a GDP for kindness. The author starts the book off with many practical, proven ways in being kind to yourself, and then to others in as little words as possible. If you're a business owner, or you want to start a new business venture (even a side hustle) - then kindness takes a whole level of its own. You will discover that entrepreneurship breeds kindness. Even if owning your own business in some way, shape or form is not your cup of tea; we all still need each other. After all we are social beings, and we do not need to be 'cruel' to be kind. This book helps raise that kindness vibration, and to live a life full of kindness.

    Introduction:

Why Be Kind? Why read this book?

The most common question that sparks some interest: Do we really have to be cruel to be kind? There are different points of view in answer to that question, yet people crave kindness more than they crave a once upon a time currency called chocolate.

Humans want to help one another from the bottom of their hearts. Really, they do. People have a burning desire to want to be connected to another human being. Then again, Harvard have been doing research studies spanning decades on the notion that (yes, no surprises there) deep, highly connected relationships with other human beings is hard work; however it (the hard work involved) is worth it.

Life is messy. Relationships are messy. If your business is messy right now, then where else is your life messy? Everything is a reflection, a mirror staring back at you.

We have lived previous lives, whether you believe that or not. We have lessons to learn in this lifetime. The tough lessons around kindness (once mastered) will last this lifetime, and many more. This is why investing in this book is so worth it. For the price of a latte, and a bit of your time (maybe even the cost of ten lattes...so worth it, a pittance in comparison to how much personal development and/or antidepressants really cost) to go ahead and relish the knowledge, experience and wisdom from someone who has invested 13 years and much higher sums of cash in investing in her own personal development. Way better than those quick fixes. This personal development is designed to stick with you, like super glue, provided you super glue what needs to be super glued to your life in the first place, in order to fill up what is known as your ‘kindness thermostat.’

Throughout this book, you’ll come across these two words ‘kindness thermostat’ which (metaphorically speaking) refers to a system of debits and credits. A credit to your kindness thermostat is one great deed that you do in order to be kind and kinder to yourself (Chapter 1), and then a debit to this thermostat involves performing an act of kindness for a fellow human being (Chapter 2) - where on the Bo-Do-Have principle, you can be a creator of your own destiny and own your own business/be an entrepreneur - one of the kindest undertakings you can ever do for yourself (Chapter 3), as you control your time, space, workload and income etc -
