Lisa Romano-Dwyer PhD.

Lisa Romano-Dwyer, PhD, RSW graduated with a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Toronto in 1993, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Culture, Language & Learning from York University in 2013. Lisa is a highly awarded academic scholar and ethnographer who has presented nationally and internationally. She has been the lead investigator on a number of community-based research and evaluation projects over the years. Similar to her clinical approach, Lisa uses person-centered mixed methods when examining social phenomena, program effectiveness, and/or project impact on clients or consumers of service. Currently, practicing social work in the regions of Toronto & Peel, Lisa has extensive clinical expertise and work experiences. She remains an avid member and supporter of the local professional college of social work in Ontario whose continued development is vital to individual, family, and community health and wellness. Serving as a regulated health practitioner, Lisa offers a creative blend of strength-based solution-focused social work approaches that engage the imaginations of children and families in their own healing.
