Grant finally has a beautiful girlfriend who loves him more than anything or anyone. So begins an incredibly shocking true crime story. Is it also a love story? Yes. As far as Grant's concerned it's a true love story.

Nobody understands what he and Silvie have, least of all, Grant's family. They think he's just addicted to a fantasy and needs psychological help.

Then the cops come knocking on the door of his hotel room with crushing news.

His mother, father, and brother are dead; murdered in their home.

With that, Grant's life is shot to hell.

However, his love for Silvie will never die.

Rod Kackley

It’s all about the story, as far as Rod Kackley is concerned. Whether it’s Shocking True Crime Stories or one of his many works of fiction. Rod wants to keep you turning pages and reading incredible tales of criminals, their victims, and their capture. Spoiler alert: No matter how long it takes, the bad guys rarely win. But it’s the criminal who is often the most compelling character. That’s true whether it’s “Mommy Deadliest,” the story of a woman who kills her children, or “The Murder of Thora Chamberlain,” the story of a teenage girl and her kidnapper. In Rod’s world of fiction, he spins yarns about “The Coffee Shoppe Killer, a woman who kills her lovers when they disappoint her. A teenage girl wraps a serial killer around her finger in “Go Big or Go Dead.” Then there’s “The Murder of Emma Brown,” where two young women go out to party one night, and one only returns home. Written in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Rod’s books and stories allow his readers to brush up against the world of crime without getting hurt. And it’s a heck of a ride!

    Porn Killer - Rod Kackley

    One

    January 2019

GRANT AMATO'S SITTING at his keyboard, typing furiously. The words just seem to flow from his fingertips. Tears are in his eyes, as the twenty-nine-year-old man, balding and shockingly skinny, pours out his heart and soul to his only friends; guys like him he met on a pornographic camming website, MyFreeCams.

It's an online venue where he and others pay women for sexual photos and videos.

MyFreeCams isn’t your Grandfather’s pornography. Cam girls offer have-it-your-way porn. Their customers tell them what they want, often in a private conversation, and the girls perform.

These web cam, or camming sites, where women often converse personally with, and then perform one-on-one, for their customers, have become the engine of the porn industry, according to Alec Helmy, the publisher of XBIZ, a sex-industry trade journal.

    Outlandish, right?

No. Alec’s comment is hardly an exaggeration. The worldwide pornography business was estimated to be worth about $5 billion. According to a 2016 study, camming sites, like one Grant used, generated a total of $2 billion every year.

In the 2016 study, Chaturbate, CAM4, and Grant’s favorite, MyFreeCams, were shown to be the top three camming sites in the world. They attracted 4.1 million, 3.7 million, and 2 million unique monthly visitors, respectively.

Grant’s among that number. He’s become more than a steady customer. He’s obsessed with one cam girl in particular. And that’s not unusual, either.

Men get hooked fast by these women, these cam girls, who provide a variety of sexual content. The reason? Men are more open and vulnerable in cam rooms. At least that is the opinion of Dr. Kari Lerum of the University of Washington.

A study of more than 6,000 webcam customers performed by Stripchat, a webcam platform found over forty-percent of its users felt they had significant relationships with cam models. Those relationships were described as anything from a simple friendship to a deep, emotional connection, a real attachment.

In other words, the customers, the men, get addicted to the fantasy.

MyFreeCams is the only place Grant could ever find women to fulfill his fantasies and the only venue where he could discover guys like himself. For the first time, he has real friends.

But now, he decides to come clean. His online life is a lie.

In what will become an eight-page apology letter, he tries to explain himself.

I am not a professional gamer, did not own my own house and did not drive a BMW, Grant writes, adding while the money I have, the tips I gave and the way that I was and am are my true personality and way of being.

It’s true he isn’t a professional gamer. He is a nurse. No, that isn’t quite true, either. He is an out-of-work-nurse who got fired after being accused of stealing medicine from the hospital where he worked. But, it’s true, he didn’t drive anything as exotic as a BMW. He drove a Honda Accord.

Why tell the truth today? Simple. Grant lives at home. His parents found out about the ‘cam girl’ he'd fallen in love with, a beautiful woman named Silvie from Bulgaria. He'd spent every penny he had on her. And when that cash ran out, he started stealing from his parents and his brother to fuel this obsession. He wanted to do whatever he could for Silvie, and her love, and her attention.

But when the family discovered what he'd done, they forced him to go to a rehabilitation center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for treatment of sex addiction. That's what his parents had called him, a sex addict. They even made him sign a contract promising to go to rehab, to never again send a dime to Silvie, and to never contract her again, online.

Under the agreement, the family refused to pay of his future debts, there would be no use of the internet after midnight, and no more all-nighters online. In addition, his TV use would be limited.

Grant promised to spend sixty days in the rehab center. But it was a vow he never intended to honor. He broke his promise but somehow convinced his family he'd do better.

But they wouldn't let him go back online at home to find Silvie.

They didn't understand. He and Silvie had something special. It was love at first sight for both of them. They acted like a couple of high school kids. Talking on the phone constantly, which seemed a little juvenile to him. But, Silvie explained it was okay since they never got to touch each other, physically.

His friends understood. His family never would.

My father is controlling and abusive, my mother is simply around for the security, and my brother is also controlling and does not understand how I could care for someone as much as I care for Silvie, he writes in the letter to his online community.

Silvie dumps him when she found out that his family knew everything.

    He blames himself.

Everyone, I ask for your forgiveness regarding my stupidity. I will never be able to forgive myself for making Silvie sad and for betraying her trust in me, he writes.

I upset her, made her very sad, and ruined the end of December and beginning of January for her.

Grant's been trying to win Silvie back. But because of restrictions placed on his computer use by his family, he's reduced to sending her direct messages on Twitter.

That isn't enough for him. It would be better if his father kicked him out of the house. At least that way, he’d be able to have Silvie.

I am unable to function normally without her, he writes to his online friends, I will never get over her.
