What Are Hemp Seeds?
Technically a nut, hemp seeds are the seeds of the hemp plant, from the same species as marijuana (cannabis) but a different variety that contains only a trace amount of the compound in marijuana that gets people high, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
Hemp seeds are rich in healthy omega-3 fats, protein and a variety of minerals.
Vitamin E, phosphorus, sodium magnesium, sulfur, potassium, calcium, iron and zinc are all nutrients found in abundance from hemp seeds and these minerals can help a person as part of a healthy and balanced weight-loss regimen.
