This book is just too weird to enjoy. The grammar and syntax are off in so many places, lack of photos in a book meant to teach a visual art, lack of clarity in the instructions (satin stitch: wth does she mean by points?? - and that's in the first chapter! DNF this one so quickly. Every other book I have read on visible mending is more worth your time.

Book has no pictures! That is weird for a book of mending tips.

Introduction

Mending is the sewing of a cloth or clothing that is pierced or torn. Do you, too, have torn clothes that you would like to sew? If so, you will find what you are looking for in this book. While it is easy to find videos and visual guides on how to mend, there are not many written manuals about visible mending.

In this book, I will go over different mending methods and explain what you can do and how you can do it in detail. You will find lists of necessary equipment, steps to be followed to mend in different styles, and solutions to hide the mending. You will also learn about stitching distressed jeans, repairing socks, hemming jeans, and many more things.

The following chapters are all about versatile ways to mend different fabrics. It is true that a sewing machine is one of the most important investments in a seamstress's life. But when you are a beginner
