    This book helps you to understand that “it really is about clarifying your direction and your perspective if you are interested in pre-historical sites” and how that can be unified with your previous understandings. Even though some experts are able to see something interesting at Native North American sites which may or may not help us to understand the circle of life (unification), the Native American approach towards understanding pre-history using holistic methods should be included in everyone’s spiritual toolkit.
    Since there are many ways of revising how people have experienced the past, a further aim of this book is related to the idea that sometimes there is a need to re-focus your attention from previous assumptions towards your intuitive abilities which can then be linked with your critical thinking (cognitive) abilities when considering the different perspectives.
    Learning about pre-history can be interesting; but most of all, we need to keep working on ourselves as we seek knowledge (and perhaps wisdom). Accordingly, if we are open to the truth and we allow for a change in consciousness, things often come to us in ways which we did not expect. As such, Shadow Stone encourages us to be less passive towards pre-history and our relationship with the natural world. Finding our connections with all things both animate and (seemingly) inanimate is part of the journey.
