Debbie Zacarian, Lourdes Alvarez-Ortiz and Judie Haynes are co-authors of Teaching to Strengths: Supporting Students Living with Trauma, Violence, and Chronic Stress Debbie is the founding director of the Center for English Language Education, and the founding and current director of the Center for Advancing Student Achievement. Lourdes is a bilingual/bicultural school psychologist and school leader with more than two decades of experience working in inner city school districts in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Judie is the editor and owner of everythingESL.net. She is also cofounder and moderator of #ELLCHAT. Rachael George is the principal of Sandy Grade School in the Oregon Trail School District and an ASCD Emerging Leader.
