About this ebook
You many enjoy reading Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse if you are in a relationship with a narcissist, are still trying to recover from having been in a relationship with a narcissist or want to have a better understanding of narcissistic abuse because you want to help others who are struggling with the effects of the abuse. Whereas many of the books written on the subject of narcissistic abuse end on anger towards the narcissist, Recovery from Narcissistic Abuse takes a different approach by focusing on the spiritual aspects of recovery which call for forgiveness of the abuser while keeping boundaries or committing to no-contact with the abuser so that survivors do not remain bonded to the abuser energetically out of a place of anger or negativity. While expressing the anger is an important part of the recovery process, it should not be where the process of recovery ends in a survivor's view or feelings towards their abuser. This book brings in Christian and New Age elements in a dialectical spiritual approach to the recovery process. Whereas, many Christians and New Agers oppose each other, Nicole J Barrett is able to synthesize both spiritual belief systems in approaching the recovery process while remaining respectful of those of other spiritual identifications.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a wonderful book bringing light to a very dark place. There is not enough authors or people who are willing to shed the truth in what goes on behind closed doors with narcissistic abuse. Nicole the author is right on point with all the behaviors and challenges of unending suffering one takes when you are in a relationship with narcissistic abuse. I learned a lot more information how there are different types of this personality. Nicole goes deep into her teaching. I highly recommend this book because it also helps you move forward with ideas and helps you recognize your own truth. I love her writing style of sharing her heart on her own journey.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This was written from a place of deep resentment, anger, and defensive narcissism. She repeatedly looks for ways to belittle every person mentioned in the book. The author clearly isn't yet anywhere near the healing process, so it seems a bit odd of her to write a book on healing from narcissistic abuse. It should be titled The Blind Leading The Blind.
