Foreword
Every single one of us goes through life evading the truth, no not all of us can save the world, but what does one need to try? I question the very reality in which we live, the safety net of our lives. If we had to die at this very hour, could we be answerable to God for the good we’ve done, or will it be the good we failed to do? For how long are we going to look past the troubled in this world and turn a blind eye? When are we going to put on the armour and fight the real problems? No not the usual ones, we weren’t born to be usual, we were born to make a difference. Most of us have usual lives, eight-to-five jobs, bond payments, car payments, life insurance, and credit cards to rescue our uncontrollable urges. When are we going to stop focusing on how good we look in the corporate mirror? The lifestyles we live imitate a usual life not a real life. We need to take the wool of our eyes and get real about what this world needs. Too many of us are caught up in this fast lane where everyone is trying to get ahead. Don’t get me wrong, being ambitious is fine, but what are we doing to impact those who aren’t getting ahead. Does that ever cross your mind? Well maybe it’s time we questioned what getting ahead actually means.’ What does success mean to you? Is it at somebody else’s expense, because we are all accountable not just for ourselves but also for each other? We are not oblivious to what is going on all around us but the truth is ‘we can’t handle the truth.’ Do you want to live a ‘usual life’ or a ‘real life’? In reality we’re faced with all different kinds of choices. The question is when are we going to make a decision to be real people? Personal rewards are not what our maker intended for us to be selfish with. The impact of these rewards on our lives and others is rather the thing that redeems us from just an ordinary existence.

I would like to thank God for the gifts he has bestowed on me, in order that, I may demonstrate that everyone has these gifts lying within their personalities. I would like to thank my husband Vischal Rambridge for his unfaultering love and support and also my son Tarun Rambridge for teaching me that love comes in all forms. Being his mum has taught me patience and understanding in realizing the unlimited potential of kids in today’s world. I would also like to thank my extended family for their wonderful love and guidance through each chapter of my life.
