Riuscirà Jason a trovare il coraggio di cui ha bisogno per essere l’uomo che Seb merita?
Quando Seb Radcliffe si trasferisce in una cittadina della Cornovaglia, si sente come un pesce fuor d’acqua. Gli mancano i luoghi di ritrovo gay e il senso di comunità di cui godeva quando viveva in città, quindi decide di aprire un caffè-bar LGBT.
Jason Dunn è il costruttore che Seb ingaggia per aiutarlo a rinnovare il locale che ospiterà il caffè. Anche Jason è gay, ma, al contrario di Seb, non è ancora uscito allo scoperto. Non ha mai avuto una relazione con un altro uomo, concedendosi solo qualche incontro occasionale con ragazzi pronti a essere discreti.
L’attrazione tra i due è istantanea e impossibile da ignorare. Ma mentre Seb è gay dichiarato e orgoglioso di esserlo, Jason è terrorizzato dall’essere scoperto. Con l’avvicinarsi della grande apertura del Rainbow Place, la tensione cresce, a causa di alcune persone del posto che si oppongono ai piani di Seb. Quando le cose si inaspriscono, Jason è costretto a scegliere se nascondersi nell’ombra e deludere Seb, oppure sostenere apertamente l’uomo di cui si è innamorato così tanto.
Anche se questo libro è parte di una serie, ha un soddisfacente lieto fine e può essere letto come indipendente.
