Conjugal Sundays: Love. Jail. Food.

About this ebook
Conjugal Sunday's: LOVE. JAIL. FOOD. is a hybrid cook book/ love story written in the times before the recipe blog. Woven with humor and a few good dishes, Sadie Shepherds irreverent writing style and recipes will leave you begging for more. With recipe blogs a dime a dozen these days Conjugal Sundays is a throwback to when you actually wrote down a recipe and shared it with your friends. You could say she started a movement, you could say she was the first to include stories with her recipes, you could say escutcheon- you should say it because it's fun.
Sadie Shepherd
My name is Sadie Shepherd but my friends call me Mrs. Fixit. I am a Car Chick Extraordinaire Esquire LTD LLC WTF?! I am ASE Certified and have an A.A.S. in Automotive technology. Enough with the Acronyms! Mrs. Fixit is my name and cars are my game. I love cars, I love talking to people about cars, I love driving cars, I love buying cars, selling cars, fixing cars, smelling them, licking them.....wait, that might have been a bit of an overshare. CARS. My blog is about Cars, and mechanics and life in the auto industry and silly things and helpful things. I want to tear down the wall of mistrust between the world and auto repair. Mechanics are people just like you and we are all standing just standing in front of a car asking it "What's wrong with you??!".

LOVE. JAIL. FOOD.
THIS AIN’T NO BETTY CROCKER. It’s more of a chronological kitchen experiment. If you’re expecting accurate measurements, exact cooking times or anything fancy schmancy you probably haven’t met me. You CAN expect some delicious food, strange humor and a few choice four letter words.
The first would be LOVE, that’s where it all started. Jess and I didn’t exactly have a typical first date. In fact it wasn’t OUR date at all. I had set him up on a blind date with my best friend, and I had come along to chaperone. After a few drinks she bailed, so Jess looks at me and says How ‘bout it?
. Ever the optimists we made the best of an awkward situation and hit the town. Well, hit
might not be the best nomenclature; decimated, flat-lined, or steam-rolled would probably be more appropriate. We had more fun than should ever be legally allowed.
This brings us to a second four letter word. JAIL. At the last stop for the evening Jess and I lost each other in the crowd. While I was negotiating a sober ride home for us, Jess was already getting one from Fort Collins finest. Helluva way to start a relationship. Well, time went on and we got closer, as did his jail sentence. He will beg to differ but I
