      Chapter One

      Christine had been talking with Jerome about the business of running The Swirl Resort when she heard a familiar song emanating from the meeting room. It only took her a few notes to recognize the melody as a saxophone version of the American classic, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, which told her everything she needed to know about Royce's plan for the upcoming themed weekend. She was still curious about the merchandising that he had in mind, though her mind raced with the possibilities.

      She turned her head to the left to study the man by her side.

      Her lover Jerome was tall with skin like dark chocolate and eyes that had a strong color to them. He was taller than her, which only excited the small cream-colored woman even more whenever either of them were in a frisky mood. He was wearing a recently tailored pin-stripe suit of dark blue with clear white lines that ran down the jacket. It looked great on him, even if she always wondered how the material could stand up to the man's broad muscles.

      Her eyes roamed over Jerome's body, then traveled northward towards his face. She had expected him to have a knowing smile on his face, because she couldn't imagine that anyone could have gone through life without hearing that song at least once. But instead of the knowing grin and wink she expected, Jerome's face was confused with an eyebrow raised up and a fingers brushing over his chin.

      Is something on your mind? Christine asked.

      Jerome nodded as he lowered a hand to grab the woman's hip. As he squeezed his thick fingers around her curves, Christine brushed closer against him and purred softly as she soaked in the warmth from her lover's presence.

      Yeah, Jerome said, I was wondering what that song is. It's not exactly catchy or sexy.

      Christine grinned. You were always a football fan weren't you?

      Jerome bobbed his head as he said, That or basketball. Why?

      Christine parted her
