About this ebook

Zara never expected to be 38, broke, and pregnant for a mysterious stranger, but finding out that said mysterious stranger had a lot of money didn't put her at ease, and she knew why.

Zara

Yesterday was my graduation from cosmetology school, one of my biggest achievements to date. So of course I went out to celebrate, did the teenage girl party thing where you get drunk and fuck a complete stranger. Except I am not a teenager, I am a 38 year old woman who is broke and now pregnant with a stranger's child.

Nathan

I don't do this normally, sleep with random girls I meet at my club. But something about this girl was different. She was witty and funny and the best of all, she had thought I was a valet and had still been into me.

One night wasn't enough so I tracked her down intending to have a proper first date with her, only to find out that she is less than exited to see me. The realization that I am billionaire not only left her unimpressed, but it seems to also make her not like me.

But I like her, and I want her, and I am going to fight for her.

Zero character development. Zero real resolution. Feels like it was written by a high school kid. Would not recommend.

I liked it but I would have preferred a longer plot

My Baby Daddy

Chapter 1

D on't be a party pooper , Aisha, get up, Zara scolded as she walked past her friend for the second time that evening, still on the couch, still in her pajamas and still with Cheetos in her hair.

I haven’t gone clubbing in so long Zara, I swear I have forgotten how to dance, Aisha grumbled as she rolled around on the couch, not quite making any moves to stand up. I mean how do you even twerk? she continued a quizzical look on her face. Do you move your bum from left to right or from up to down? Zara laughed, only Aisha could make up a conversational topic as silly as that, and trust her to answer her.

Twerking isn’t the rage anymore, you can just bob your head for all I care but we are going clubbing. Zara pushed Aisha’s leg off the only couch in the tiny room they called their parlor and proceeded to sit down on the now free spot so she could start doing her makeup. The small laptop Aisha had been using to watch re-runs of Friends lay frozen on a shot of Phoebe’s open mouth Besides who graduates from cosmetology school and doesn’t celebrate it girl, get up.

Aisha threw her legs in the air in a fit for a few seconds before rolling over and actually getting up this time.

I will go take a shower, she said, her curls in a silk hair cap.

"A fast shower I hope because I am ready to party," Zara stressed.

Sure, sure, Aisha said, not sounding the least bit interested in going out. At times like this, Zara wished she had more fun friends that could bring her out of her shell and fewer friends like her anti-social and awkward self. She was excited for a night out for a change, she had been working as a waitress non-stop while she had been going to cosmetology school in Dallas, Texas for a year now, so she was really looking forward to a night of total recklessness and abandon.

Shit! Zara heard Aisha scream all the way from the bathroom.

What girl?

"No more hot water, eesh."

Zara laughed. That’s what you get for being a lazy ass, she teased. She and Aisha had been friends for a long time, longer than either of them could remember. From being the poorest of the poor using meal tickets, to finally leaving the streets and getting decent jobs. They had promised to have each other’s backs and hadn’t disappointed each other yet.

Graduating from cosmetology school was a major milestone in their plans, now all they had to do was build a client base and work hard to become the best in the industry. Before they knew it they would be moving out of their dingy apartment into something bigger, into a safer neighborhood and creating a better life for themselves, at least that was the plan.

Shut up, Aisha said, already in the shower. Their apartment was so small that Aisha didn’t even have to shout to be heard properly.

Hurry up girl, I am almost done with my makeup.

"Don’t rush me Zara, you know how much I hate that."

Well if you hate it so much then you should have gotten up earlier and been ready by now, Zara mumbled under her breath.

I heard that, Aisha laughed. I’ll be out in a sec, be patient would you?

A second turned into an hour before the girls were safely out of their house and in a cab. It had been a long time since they’d had a night out, being thrifty combined with not having any time wasn’t a fun combination, especially when you lived in a fun city. But tonight was different not only because of their graduation, but also because they were going to be meeting a bunch of their classmates at the club, and one of them happened to know someone that happened to know the owner of the club, so they would be able to get in with no hassle at all.

Is that it? Aisha asked in awe from behind Zara. The taxi had just pulled up in front of a really ordinary looking door that would generally not catch anyone’s attention during the day, but right now there was a line leading from the front of the door, to way down a back alley, and it was filled with a lot of hot
