Chapter 1. Incarnation
In India, Hyderabad’s Parthdi named village lived a very poor man named Gangabhavdya. Devotion to God, spreading of religion, helping others and to take care of the holy men was his major interests. His maximum time used to be spent in the service of helpless people. Gangabhavdya’s marriage took place with a lady named Devagiri Amma. Devagiri too was similar to her husband busy in religious works and was a lady of patience and satisfaction. In this way, both husband and wife being engrossed together in their devotion to God; lived their family life with peace and happiness.
Lord Shiva impressed with Gangabhavdya, and Devagiri’s devotion came in appeared in Devagiri’s dream. On seeing Lord Shiva Devagiri’s eyes started watering out of emotions. Due to overwhelm her throat got dried, than Lord Shiva told her, Dear daughter, I am very impressed by your and Gangabhavdya’s devotion, and so I bless you with a boon that as Lord Rama from Kaushalya's womb and Lord Krishna from Devki’s womb had taken birth for the betterment of the world; son will I take birth from your womb as your son. My, this birth will be popular by the name ‘Sai,’ which will by destroying sin restore the sinners. Lord Shiva’s birth has his son, surprised Gangabhavdya. He felt happy for getting such a great opportunity. As per Lord Shiva’s commands, he decided at that moment to leave the village and went away to live in the nearby jungle. He built a hut close to the river and thereby became lost in his prayers, and Devagiri is taking care of her husband by heart also started waiting for the proper time.
Regular lost in prayers had made Gangabhavdya reached that pedestal where his emotions for the family and attachments for wife, child and anyone had no place in his life. This resulted that one-day Gangabhavdya leaving Devagiri sleeping took a Jal Samadhi. In the morning when Devagiri woke up, on finding her husband missing; she tried to search for him all around her hut, but she was unsuccessful in doing so. In the end,
