    Cyclops Cookies

    Ingredients

    two cups all-purpose flour

    a quarter teaspoon ground cinnamon

    a quarter cup shortening

    a quarter cup margarine

    one cup confectioners' sugar

    one cup chopped walnuts

    one cup semisweet chocolate chips

    Preparation

    Whisk cinnamon and flour together. In another medium bowl mix margarine, shortening and powdered sugar together. Little by little add in the flour mixture. Fold in the nuts.

    Roll the floured surface out and cut the cookies with a round cooking cutter. Put it apart over a cookie sheet (ungreased).

    Put one chocolate chip in the middle of each cookie.

    Bake for about ten minutes at high degree till becoming lightly colored.

    Let cool on a wire rack.

    Cranberry Ice

    Ingredients

    two packages fresh cranberries

    two cups white sugar

    one and a quarter cups fresh orange juice

    one cup fresh lemon juice

    Preparation

    Put the cranberries in a medium pot and add cover with water. Let boil till the cranberries start to pop.

    Drain well and mince in a food mill.

    While it is still warm pour sugar to melt with warm berries.

    The amount of sugar depends on the sweetness of the berries.

    If you add more sugar the mixture will be will be very sweet when it has been frozen.

    After melting the sugar with the berries, mix with fresh orange juice and squeezed lemon
