This is the 1st book I've ever pre-ordered. I am a regular reader of the blog Barking Up The Wrong Tree, and I once thought would it be cool if Eric Barker can make a book out of these gems? And my God he did, and it did not disappoints one bit.

i love how it talks about want i want and not what otherswant.. how it exolained how you could have so much money and still be unhappy.. we hear this so often but this book explained why and how much it takes a toll once on our death bed... the book really resonated with me.. grit is not everything, you could be working your ass off since that is what everyone told you but still be unfulfilled. rest is messed up by modern culture. its not the quantity but the quality... too many lessons compressed in this summary... i love it! <3

The book is an extension of his blog, and if a topic has already been introduced there, he goes into greater depth in the book. He also introduces much new information.

The book provides some useful advice. Not least around the idea of being kind to yourself. Do that, do that often.

A great read if you want to know how much or how little popular success maxims are supported by actual science.

Amazing. The original author’s story of the original book is inspiring and the facts presented in this book is so true. America alone has over 1 TRILLION DOLLARS in student debt. Success and education today is going to change. It has remained the same for far too loooooooooong.
