    Early Sunday morning Randy’s mother ripped him from his Nintendo system, dragged him from the T.V. and put him in the beat-up car to accompany her to the market for their weekly shopping trip. Randy didn’t like these Sunday trips with his mother, but he knew they were important to her and so he complied. On this particular Sunday, Randy chose to bring his allowance that he had been saving up for the past three weeks to purchase some comic books for himself. This Sunday was special, because it was his birthday, and so he chose to treat himself.

    Once at the store, Randy and his mother parted ways to their separate ends of the market. Randy weaved through the lines of people and small crowds surrounding different tables until he finally got to his destination. The grumpy looking teenager behind the table sat uninterested, a pair of headphones over his dark hair. While Randy fumbled through each stack of comic books, he was acutely aware of the person standing
