    She was a Tymorean Great One, and the Ciri Princes desired to have one of their deadliest enemies helpless to resist their torturing fantasises, to have her power totally in their control. Their devices would bring her to them – through the shields that protected the location of their secret base.
    But Great One Kryslie had a plan. With the help of the Guardians of Peace, whom she had pledged to serve, she would ensure the Ciri Princes died. She would die too – but Earth would be saved.

      Morin! Will you stop wool gathering, Dan Ward, Coordinator of the Tymorean Earth Mission, demanded of his young aide.

      Ah…yes, Boss, Morin tried to look like he was paying attention while hoping his data padd was on record, because his mind was…well, half way to Earth’s moon.

      Great One Kryslie had just sent him a thought, more like a bolt of lightning in intensity. Morin, I need you to look after Daniel. Stay with him, help him, no matter what happens. Make sure he eats and drinks and looks after himself.

      His mind had agreed, automatically. He’d do anything for the Great Ones…but this had seemed more personal. He’d thought back, But…what’s happening?

      He heard in his mind, Tymos will be angry with me, but I have things to do, that only I can do.

      The Great One’s presence had gone from his mind, and although he was a telepath, he couldn’t project a thought further than from one end of the base to the other.

      His mind did produce possibilities. He knew the Lunar Base where the Great Ones were was under attack and Great One Tymos was one of the fighter pilots. The base must have one or more infected human drones up there. Humans with the devices in them that the enemy drone ships used as targets…

      Morin, what is wrong with you? Morin? I was…. Daniel’s voice trailed off, realising that his aide was listening to another voice, in his mind. He didn’t say more, just followed as his aide raced out of the kitchen where they had been doing a supply check, and out into the arrival cavern.

      He was muttering, "Long range beam from Lunar One to here, then to Jacen Tyr."
