    PROLOGUE

At the very edge of the infant universe, where space and time all fail to exist, a young star is growing too fast. Gravity is drawing in more and more matter as it starts to reach beyond its own binary star system that once existed. It ate its smaller brother then all their children. A neighboring star is drawn closer and then falls into the ever-widening mouth. For eons of time it feeds and grows on whatever it can find.

From unthinkable distances, it draws fresh whole suns to feed on again. It appears like a giant circular tub billions of miles across full of bubbles. Bright bubbles surrounded by black specks are wildly spinning around a black vortex in the center of the tub. It consumes entire solar systems and its appetite only grows. Complete regions of space are being swept clean of all matter and energy. Even light cannot escape the hunger of this giant beast. Its own galaxy is almost picked clean when the last remaining few hundred suns are gulped without a burp.

A Sister galaxy can no long resist the slippery slide to non-existence. It starts the spiral decent down into the ever-steeping gravity well of this monster that will not be satisfied. The outer stars are swallowed by the hundreds, as the mouth only grows larger. The spinning is so rapid that the stars tear themselves apart as they collide producing only more energy that floods down into the ever-increasing gaping Maul. Finally, the stars are as tightly packed as they spin around the vortex that there is no space left and they begin to form small black holes beyond the horizon of the monster. Instead of gulping suns, the monster gorges itself upon black holes and consumes thousands in an instant.

Suddenly, time stands still in a fourth of the universe as the monster gulps millions at a time. It twists, turns, and shudders as it tears the very fabric of space and time for an instant, a cycle, an eon, or a period no one can say for how long. Then the monster explodes with the fury of the untold numbers of suns it has consumed, and time returns. The brilliant light and energy, which has tried to escape for eons, now bursts forth in an ever-expanding sphere. Any matter within 1000 light years, or untold trillions of miles is turned instantly into energy. Every atom no matter where it is; it is smashed by the tremendous force of the light as it escapes its prison. Planets even suns are overwhelmed by the sheer force of the light and join the outward brilliant rush to escape what was the monster. The brilliance will return to its place of creation unless space and time are created faster than its outward rush through space.

It travels for billions of years as it approaches another small solar system. This system has only four planets and a small orange sun. The inner planet is only barren rock. The second is a hazy blue ball in space. The third is a very giant gas and ice ball far from the sun. The fourth and last planet is an ice ball not quite as large as its close companion.

The blaze of glory is now only a glimmer of its past self as it races through the gravity-well of this small sun and continues it race onward. It is no longer a mortal threat but a threat never the less, as it passes.

Many wanders are created as the light can no longer consume them but relentlessly forces them from their original paths to new ones. Their direction changes and no one is there to notice or care. Several will skirt the gravity-well of this orange sun, some will fall in and begin a long slow spiral journey inward as they are trapped.

53A cipher years (766) before the brilliance enters this small solar system, a man-child is born and is named Mog. He will learn and grow as the light speeds toward him.

    Chapter 1 The Birthday

Gypt is a young female on the small blue planet in the system of four planets. She is nearing an important birthday. It is a period of anticipation for all concerned. What will she be doing after this milestone in her life?

A close friend asks, Gypt, tomorrow is the big day. Has your family decided what you will be doing?

She answers, No, I will wait and see. I am thinking of continuing my learning. I hope to enter a Centre. I know I am rather young, but I hope to be admitted.

At the small celebration with a few friends and family, Gypt is all smiles. A few gifts are given, but again, this birthday is only the gateway out of childhood.

Gypt, you have reached 100 ciphers (144) and completed your first cycle. May your cycles be long and fruitful.

The words come from her childhood instructor and are most welcome.

He then takes her aside, I have good news. You should prepare to receive a call to a Learning Centre. No, I have no idea which one or when. But soon. Do not worry, you will do well and bring honor on all those that know you.

Chapter 2 Preparing for the Travel East

Just 1 cycle, 3 seasons and 2, cipher years (182) before the brilliance enters this small solar system a man named Nh prepares to make a journey.

He says to his wife, "Now good wife, I will be fine. I must go far to the East to recover some words lost for many, many Cycles. After many seasons, much study and deep thought I now know where they maybe. They are important to us, I am not sure why, but I feel they are most important to all of us. All
