      INTRODUCTION

      This is my fourth book dealing with the last days of the present third age of time. The others, which are part of the listing of books preceding this Introduction, are: How We Know For Sure That We Are Living In The Last Days!, Fasten Your Seatbelts: Turbulence Ahead!, and This World’s Return To Paganism Is Almost Complete!, in that order. The first of these books on the end times was published on June 9th, 2014, just a little over four years ago. And yet, events have moved so quickly downhill during that time period, spiritually speaking, that it is almost as if we are now in a whole new world altogether in many respects, when compared to just four years ago! Things are moving that quickly.

      But unfortunately, not every person, including believers, have their eyes open to what is occurring in the world around them, which is not a new problem, since God’s Son had to tell the people in His day two thousand years ago what we read at Matthew 16:3 in part, …Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times? Discerning the signs of the times then is one important thing we will be doing in this book, but doing so from the perspective of what we see occurring on the international, national, and local level. In other words, what is occurring in one place, prophetically speaking, applies equally to the whole earth, for there are no parts of this world that are insulated from what is taking place in this world in these last days of the present age, although in some places some events may be moving a little slower than in other areas. For instance, in areas with large Christian populations, the tide of evil is being restrained to a certain extent by God for the sake of those believers and through the prayers of these believers, compared to areas where there are not many Christians!

      What is also important to grasp here is that all the events that we will mention in the book are events that are fully under God’s control at all times, which means that they are being outworked in accordance with God’s plan for the ages! In other words, when creation took place, which is when time began to be marked, God had a plan for what would take place during time, which He is merely outworking as time moves along. And God’s plan for the ages meant allowing both good and evil to take place. And we can be sure that God has good reasons for all He allows to take place in time, since He alone is God, with perfect knowledge, wisdom, and absolute power over all that exists!

      And of course, the good news for those who have a personal relationship with God through faith in His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, is that God wins in the end, with all forces of evil having been put down by God when the ages of time are complete and eternity begins! So although believers might suffer due to living in a fallen world now, this is to be seen as but temporary! God is only allowing evil through evildoers now in order that believers might totally depend on Him, and also to have a basis for judging all unbelievers of time when they stand before Him at His final judgment!

      What is important to also grasp at the outset is that the major theme of this book is that when the antichrist does appear on the world scene, he will fit right in, in terms of the unbelievers of this world already having been prepared to gladly be under the rule of the antichrist! What this means then is that the evil character of the antichrist will already be part of the character of the unbelievers on earth at the time of his being revealed on earth by God! That is why the title chosen for this book is, This World Is Ready For The Rule Of The Antichrist, simply because it is my conviction that we are already at the place where this third age could end at any moment, which would then immediately usher in the rule of the antichrist over all the nations of the earth!

      And since this book was included under The Practical Helps Library series, then this means that we will be seeking to be as practical as possible, which entails including as many examples as possible when speaking of events taking place at the present time. We will also endeavor to give as many personal experiences as are relevant to the topic, since a personal testimony often has a greater impact, in terms of driving home a truth or just making a point.

      We are to notice then that this book has been divided into three sections. The first section is titled, Who is this antichrist that the world is ready for? The second section is titled, Signs which point us to the fact that this world is ready for the rule of the antichrist. And the third section is titled, What we can do while we wait for this present third age to end.

      Then we are to also note that at the back of the book there is an Addenda with four sections. In Addendum A, we have a presentation of the gospel, which is the good news that God gives in His word regarding His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for any readers who might not as yet have that vital personal relationship with God through faith in His Son. In Addendum B, there is a brief outline of the four ages of time, for any reading the book that might not be aware of the fact that God has divided all of time into four ages. Then in Addendum C, there is a brief outline of the two comings from Heaven to earth in time of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, for any who may not be familiar with this information either.

      Then in Addendum D, we have an article by Selwyn Duke, which requires some explanation as to why this was included here. After the book was finished and I was doing a final review of the book before sending it to the publisher, I came across this article at the americanthinker.com website, which often has excellent conservative commentary. And after reading the article, in which Selwyn Duke comes to the same conclusion that I did in Chapter Eight, where I look at the Presidencies of Obama and Trump in the light of the coming rule of the antichrist, I decided to include it in the book as Addendum D, so that readers might see that others also are observing what is happening in the United States at present and are coming to the same conclusions. So please read Addendum D immediately after reading Chapter Eight for maximum impact.

      And before closing this Introduction, there should be a few personal words mentioned, since we are all somewhat curious by nature. So after completing 21 years of formal education and then spending almost 28 years working in Project Engineering and Management in the Corporate offices of a large utility, God called His servant as a non-denominational evangelist in early 1999, and then sent him out more than two thousand miles away from family and friends, to the place of service God has assigned, which is where His servant has been, and is still serving Him, as evangelist, counselor, author, editor, and publisher. The author is a widower with three adopted children, all now married with a family of their own.

      WHO IS THIS ANTICHRIST THAT THE WORLD IS READY FOR?

      Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

      CHAPTER ONE

      Names and character of the antichrist

      What needs to be grasped as we begin is that our knowledge of a person who is said to be coming to this world as the antichrist is based on what God tells us in His word, the Bible. In other words, only God knows who the antichrist will be, since when this person does appear on the world stage, he will not be announcing himself as being the antichrist! What also needs to be grasped at the outset is that only believers are generally going to be interested in what God says in His word generally, and about the antichrist in particular.

      One very important reason for this is based on the fact that when this present age ends, with the coming of the antichrist on the world stage, this will be the time of glorification for believers of the present age. In other words, this is the moment when God’s Son returns briefly to just above the earth, as the first stage of His second coming from Heaven to earth, to take believers of the present age into God’s Presence in Heaven, with spiritual bodies that will now last forever! And so, only believers are looking forward to this event, which all the signs point to as being very near!

      At this point, it is highly recommended that if one who is reading this is not familiar with the four ages of time, including the two separate comings from Heaven to earth of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, then please take a moment here and read Addendum A and B at the back of the book before continuing, or else one will have difficulty comprehending much of what is being said in this present section, and in the rest of the book. This material was included in the book so that we might all be on the same page while going through the book.

      So then, we can ask: What does God say about this antichrist in His word, the Bible? The first thing to know here is that God did not always refer to this person who is coming into the world by the word ‘antichrist.’ Further back in history, God used other names, and it is only as the time draws near for his appearance on the world scene that God starts to use the word ‘antichrist’ to refer to this person. In other words, the antichrist is not in view at all in the first age, and barely in the second age of time. It is only in the present third age that God starts to make believers aware of him. And by the time we reach the fourth age of time, the antichrist will be history!

      Secondly, we need to be aware that we cannot talk about this person, who is coming to this world as the antichrist, without also mentioning the names and the character at the same time, for the simple reason that the names that God assigns to him often involve references to his evil character,
