About this ebook
The Work of the Holy Spirit
What happens when we adore Jesus?
The work of the Holy Spirit in our heart through the adoration of the person of Jesus, present for us in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, is given to us, through this prayer for the feast of St Andrew:
“O Lord our God, you chose to build your Church upon faith of Ordinary People, made extraordinary by the companionship of you Son and the power of the Holy Spirit.”
So through Eucharistic Adoration, the Lord through the companionship with Jesus, wants to make of ordinary people we are, extraordinary people. It means extraordinary husband, wife, children and so on.
“By adoration, the Christian mysteriously contributes to the radical transformation of the world. Anyone who worships the Savior, attracts with him the whole world and raises it unto God. Those who stand before the Lord to adore him, therefore, are fulfilling an eminent service. They present to Christ those who are far from him. They watch before him on their behalf.”
St. John Paul II
Lord, I understand, when a soul lets the nice perfume of your love captivate her, she cannot run alone....This is done without constraint, without effort, it is a natural consequence of her attraction towards you. Similarly a torrent rushing with impetuosity into the ocean carries with it all that it meets on his way, similarly, O my Jesus, the soul who plunges into the shoreless ocean of your love, attracts with her all the treasures it possesses”.
St. Therese of the Child Jesus
