    The insurance companies are lost vast sums of money on disasters. The policies are bought just before the disasters.
    Going to lunch, Jones is being followed and Rage captures the tail. At lunch after the tail in known, Jones re-ups for a special mission and Rage can’t come. On his mission, he has no idea why they dug a shallow trench and fill it in. He returns safely home after a few weeks. Several more people watch Jones after the mission. Rage takes both out and puts them in jail. Several try to take the prisoners with fancy government papers. They all end up in jail for a brief time.
    How can someone predict earthquakes, floods and so on? It appears they have, and the insurance companies are losing money fast.
    Why does drilling for steam find the temperature decrease many miles into the earth and then raises again deeper. Why was the foreman murdered of this drilling rig?
    How can this be tied to the new HD TVs? Digital and analog signals are different.
    The Madam from the Penthouse must visit a venture and set it straight, while keeping Rage out of the picture.

      Prologue

      Earthquakes

      An insurance company’s upper management is meeting to discuss a recent earthquake outside the USA.

      Our loses were $150 million in that quake. I talked with our two competitors in the area. They lost about $60 million each. Sometimes, it does not pay to be the biggest.

      I have researched the policies. They were all nine months old and bought within a 2-week period. It appears they knew what was coming. We will make the payments this week and walk away from this. But I have set up a procedure to flag this type of buying in the future. The statisticians have not slept for a week over this.

      Severe weather

      A single state’s public insurance agency in the Deep South is draining their reserve funds down to near zero. Their policies cover freak storms and tornados in an area that has never seen one. The loss was only $25 million but their policies were taken out only three months earlier with a 2-month grace period.

      Flooding

      It seems millions of dollars of property was sold six weeks before they were flooded. The flooding has never happened there at that level during any time of the year. The property was re-bought for 10 cents on the dollar by the same people that sold it.

      Volcanoes

      Property and factories were sold near volcanoes that had not even had a tremor for as long as records have been kept. In three weeks after the sale, three volcanoes destroyed all the property sold.

      Also, the near shoreline was purchased out to two miles. After the eruption an extra five miles of shoreline has been added in the three locations. It will be usable in several years and a deep-sea harbor could be built in five years.

      Asteroids

      Three asteroids previously listed as no threat to the earth’s satellite system is now listed as a possible threat. It was a slow day, so the newscasters make it a front-page story.

      The data when reviewed by the scientific community did not show the threat weeks ago and now it does. It has been reported by an unknown person that made the prediction.

      A challenge is issued on a faster traveling asteroid to determine where it will be in three months.

      The scientific community is a gas that they are challenged on any of their work. They would have ignored it, but the newscaster will not let it go. In a week, they bow to the pressure and make a prediction after running it through every model in existence.
