Skye MacKinnon
Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose. She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh. When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her bunny diva and cat princess.

Duke’s Guacamole
Wendie Nordgren
Featured in Wendigo Conjuring.
Wendigo Conjuring is the third book in the Wendigo Redemption series and is set in the post-apocalyptic Republic of Texas where ranching, farming, and getting along with the shifters are critical for survival.
With the hand I wasn’t clutching like a vice, Hunting Wolf pointed toward a merchant who was selling avocados. The two of them led me away, hiding Sam and Holden from my view. Nervously, I said over my shoulder, Pooh Bear, if you start kicking his ass, please don’t knock him into the avocados. I’d prefer for Duke to be the one to mash them.
Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2
Difficulty: 1 guy
Ingredients
• 2 avocados, peeled and pitted
• 1 tomato, chopped
• ¼ cup chopped white onion
• 2 teaspoons lemon juice
• ½ teaspoon salt
Method
1. Mash avocados and mix with remaining ingredients.
2. Serve with tortilla chips!

Lobster Roll Bruschetta
C.A. Storm
Featured in EMERALD IRE: The Dwellers Below.
The Dwellers Below Saga begins in Emerald Ire, the story of a young American Irish lass who journeys to Ireland, following her nightmares. Little does she realize that in following her nightmares, she’ll end up coming face-to-face with four primordial beings who have been trapped for thousands of years. These four Fomoire kings have hungered for vengeance, but that hunger is only rivaled by what they feel for the young girl at their mercy. They’ll make her a queen, if they can actually escape before armies of angels and fey trap them once more! Even if they manage to escape, however, it’s only the beginning…
A classic favorite of New England, this takes the traditional lobster roll to another level completely! It’s one of the first things Patricia eats after she and her Fomoire kings escape Ireland and land in Boston, and it begins an entirely new addiction!
The four kings were rather...barbaric...in their table manners. They ignored any utensil that wasn’t a knife, preferring to use their clawed hands and brutal fangs to rend and tear as they satisfied their hunger. Yet, who could really blame them? Like I said, thousands and thousands of years of not eating? Yeah, I’d probably go a little feral myself!
Still, while a part of me debated just giving in and joining the food-for-all, table manners had been rather firmly instilled in me by my mother. With a shrug, I started eating, grabbing up a piece of what looked like bruschetta, covered with garlic, diced red onions, tomatoes, and what looked to be either lobster or crab meat. Cautiously, I took a nibble.
It was fucking orgasmic.
I’d had lobster rolls before, served on hot dog buns or hoagies, but this lobster bruschetta was incredible. I got so occupied with devouring the tasty morsel, I hadn’t realized the table had fallen silent until I opened my eyes to reach for another piece, and found myself pinned by glowing eyes filled with a hunger that had nothing to do with food.
Clearing my throat, feeling that all-too-familiar heat of a flush sweep up my chest to spread across my cheeks, I managed a
