      We live in tumultuous times. Every day we wake up completely unaware of the threats that are surrounding us. Aside from having to be on guard from the natural elements of a disaster we also have to concern ourselves with the human factor. This means that each of us has to keep foremost in our minds escape plans, extra stores of food, and other tools we may need to protect our families and property at all times.

      In the past, when a disaster occurred, it was most likely a surprise. People woke because their houses are flooded, properties uprooted from violent shaking from earthquakes, volcanoes erupted suffocating people with their intense heat and gases, and the sea floor rose claiming millions of lives without warning. All these types of events left behind millions of people in their wake stunned and grieved over their losses.

      Even today, you turn on the latest news reports and see almost daily about earthquakes, floods, fires, typhoons, tornadoes, and so many more natural disasters. To some, it may feel like the earth is angry and bent on destroying anyone in its path. The expression, you can’t fight mother nature,
