SOCRATES
Socrates was one of the Greek Philosopher who laid the foundation stones to Western Philosophy. His vast ocean of wisdom in the field of ethics is outstanding. His comments on Philosophy were short but one can find ideas thickly packed into it. It is a paradox that there exists no direct source that contribute to the details of Socrates. It is believed that, Socrates is born to ordinary family of a mason. It is through the works of Plato, chief disciple of Socrates, the world has acquired information about Socratic and his ideology. Plato’s works mostly include dialogues or conversations, being Socrates as its central figure. Theories and beliefs of Socrates are so wide that one cannot put together in a single frame.
Socrates proposed Elenchus, a method where the answer to a problem or a question from a disciple was arrived at by making the disciple answer a series of questions. Socratic Paradoxes still remains unconquered to the modern world.What I do not know I do not think I know
is a common Socratic paradox. In simple words he means that I know that I know nothing
. He had also stamped his impress in playwrights too. Socrates is also remembered for his contributions to Epistemology
. Epistemology is a branch of philosophy that deals with theory of knowledge. His political stand attracted rivalry of monarchy. In fear of their sole existence they tried to influence Socrates in many ways. He embraced to his theories and views even when he was poisoned to death. Socrates still exists as one of the prominent personalities that reformed human kind.

Reality
The first key to greatness is to be in reality what we appear to be.
The shortest and surest way to live with honor in the world is to be in reality what we would appear to be, all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice and experience of them.
In order that the mind should see light instead of darkness, so the entire soul must be turned away from this changing world, until its eye can learn to contemplate reality and that supreme splendor which we have called the good. Hence there may well be an art whose aim would be to affect this very thing.
