Chapter 1
Prince Michael the Archangel, whose name means Who is like God?
stood fiercely ready for battle in the war between good and evil, with the tips of his formidable soft white wings spiked. He keenly watched his fiery, two-horned and black-eyed adversary, Satan, and his black-eyed minions, the demons. Michael sent out his angels, who accompanied him, when necessary, to fight or assist.
Satan and his minions were out to lead astray, destroy, or kill as many humans as they were capable of.
Michael had wavy, dark brown hair that fell just below his shoulders, was eight-feet tall and extremely muscularly built. He also had a stunning face with mildly high cheekbones, and vibrant, sparkling, baby blue eyes that shone iridescently from an inner light. He wore a steel breastplate and men’s roman white skirt.
Michael peered attentively through an opening from Heaven to Earth beside a 50-foot high oak tree that stood alone alongside the extensive, almost never-ending, ‘Illumination Garden.’ The whispering breeze swayed the velvety, short grass, and fascinating multicolored and faceted flowers and rustled the vibrant leaves of the various kinds of trees. The garden was ornately laid out, with maze-like paths, waterways, and bridges connecting large and small islands.
The portion of his army that was not already fighting on or near Earth also stood ready as they awaited commands from Michael or Jehovah. Since most were already fighting, or assisting, there were only about seven thousand with him of his 1,000,000.
The fire that was Jehovah blazed at His glamorous, golden, open-air throne, to the right of the garden that was etched with twining vines with multi-shaped leaves. Leading to Him was a rich, crimson rug with gold embroidery on the edges, and gold tassels on the corners. To the right of him was his son, Jesus sitting on a similar throne. As He gazed, He saw an enigma shine out of the darkness like a perfect, glowing diamond.
Michael…
Jehovah called Michael, zealously.
Ethrael and Shandai,
Michael called his two highest in command, authoritatively.
Ethrael, a seven and a half-foot tall, muscular, blond haired and light-brown-eyed angel and Shandai, a same-sized light-brown haired and eyed angel both landed in front of Michael.
Yes commander,
they both answered dutifully.
Ethrael, you are now in command, and Shandai you are next in command. You will both stand watch in my absence. Be vigilant and send help wherever it is needed.
Then, to the rest of his present army, he said, Ethrael is now in command, with Shandai as his second. Go where they send you and give your all for this fight.
Then Michael unfurled his feathered, magnificent, shimmering white extensive wings, impressive enough only for an angel, and beat them stalwartly to Jehovah’s throne, that was to the right side of the garden.
After a minute, Michael landed suavely onto his right knee, on the crimson rug in front of the blindingly bright glow that was Jehovah, and bowed.
You summoned me, my God?
Yes Michael… You may arise.
As Michael stood to his feet, Jehovah continued, I would like to show you a precious child - a true diamond in the rough, who will glow bright.
Yes, my God,
Michael answered. You found a true diamond in the rough, in these times?
Yes,
said Jehovah. Then He showed Michael a vision of a girl, named Melina, sitting beside the waterfall in her valley in Heaven. Her purely innocent and brightly glowing eyes and long hair were golden brown. And her high cheekbones made her look darling, along with her small but full cherry lips. She sat beside a waterfall coming down a stone mountain and flowing into a serpentine river surrounded by lush emerald grass dotted with multicolored flowers.
As Michael gazed, he said, she looks so pure of heart.
That’s right,
said Jehovah. With that pure heart she has a point to prove. She will love me even if she thinks I have sentenced her to an eternity in hell. And her light will shine bright in the darkest places.
Michael looked at the vision again, and saw what Jehovah was talking about, with admiration.
She is very important because when Satan is let out for one more time to deceive the masses, in Heaven, she will be a fail-safe, someone who will not stop loving me no matter the circumstances, and will carry her love for me very strongly in her heart. She will keep many from going astray, like a lighthouse. Her burning love and beauty will continue to flicker and my flame of love in her will never die. She is also needed to deliver Heaven’s message to those on Earth.
I see the importance,
said Michael. But what would you like from me, Lord?
I need you to look over her,
said Jehovah.
Satan is set to destroy her. He wants to make her life so miserable that she will turn against me. He was once a powerful archangel, so I need an archangel to protect her.
I understand,
Michael said, but what about the rest of the war?
You will still fight it,
said Jehovah. And you will also keep a close eye on this girl, Melina. Your trusted angels can help you.
Where is she now?
asked Michael.
She is about to be born,
said Jehovah, and shone a light to where Melina’s mother was.
You may go, now,
Jehovah said. And Michael, thank you for your fierce dedication.
Yes, Jehovah,
Michael answered.
Michael flew back to his angels.
Ehrael and Shandai, you will continue to be in command as I go back and forth to Earth on a particular assignment.
Yes commander,
they both said.
Chapter 2
Accept this child,
Jehovah whispered soothingly to Jocelyn, as she was making sweet and sour meatballs with white rice for supper. This gave her astounding peace, as she was a bit apprehensive about having a baby after having had her son, Daniel, only three months before.
Melina was born in the hospital in the rural, northern village of Kelton, just after midnight in early November. As Michael looked over her, he cherished her, with her inquisitive, tiny, dark brown eyes. The strong love of Jehovah for her was in him. But Melina had a very swollen nose after a jarring passage into the world. Satan’s mark was already upon her after he convinced Melina’s doctor to leave the hospital while her mother was giving birth.
The day after Melina was born was vividly bright. And her mother delighted in her as she held her close in her arms, sitting on the emerald green sofa. And her father and brother welcomed the new arrival in the family dotingly.
Chapter 3
When Melina was eight, one evening, she sat at her glittery-white desk against the white wall in her bedroom, facing its mirror. Her golden-brown eyes sparkled as her golden-brown hair caressed her lower back. She held up a diamond necklace, which was an heirloom she inherited when she was born, from her father’s noble, Francish family line. She placed it around her head, so that the diamond hung over the top of her forehead. She thought to herself, I’m a princess,
and looked into the rectangular, white, framed mirror that was in front of her. She looked divine. Then she thought of her Heavenly Father, lovingly, who her mother taught her about since as long as she could remember, and said, You’re my father.
Then, marvellously, she saw a vision of herself, around the age of 25, in a glittery white dress that fell elegantly to her ankles, and had see-through long sleeves. She was in an enchanting, picturesque valley with mauve, rocky mountains, and a dazzling, sapphire waterfall. The waterfall led to a small, incandescent river that twined through a luscious jade valley, speckled by multicolored and multi-fashioned flowers. Melina felt a glorious peace as well as her Heavenly Father’s love. This was a special gift. She could go there spiritually, to find solace whenever her life became overwhelming. It was also a place, which would be her very own; where she could look forward to going to once she got to Heaven. From then on, she dreamed of rocky mountains and luscious valleys. She went into her valley, inside her mind, to find peace and spend time with her Heavenly Father.
Thank you,
she thought, for this valley.
Michael glanced at Melina’s vision and was pleased that Melina had been given such a special one.
Since then, Melina kept her valley in her thoughts as she gleefully trekked the various paths in the woodlands, which surrounded the town she lived in. In the main area of the forest, there was a spacious, four-foot wide path, which many other, smaller paths branched from. When she saw beautiful, sometimes rare, flowers in the forest, she stopped to appreciate them, thanking her Heavenly Father for them. Her favorites were ‘Slippers of Ladies’, which were pale-pink, and actually looked like ladies’ slippers. She even relished walking across the flat bridges made of rough wooden planks over streams or swamps, which were from two to five feet wide, and up to 16 feet long. Her favorite part of being in the dense woodlands was climbing the sturdy, tall trees, and then looking over the forest while sitting on branches near the top of them. Michael cherished watching Melina delightfully expressing her adventurous spirit, as he saw her imagination.
Chapter 4
As Melina grew into a teenager, Melina’s heart started to ache for a soul mate. She felt empty and pained inside. She had two boyfriends in high school. But one was a skid, with long brown hair, so her brother threatened to beat him up, then he dumped her. The other was 21 when she was 16, so her mom threatened to call the police on him, then he dumped her.
After Melina graduated from high school, at 17, she attended the Print Journalism Program at Wayton College in Kelton. It started on the first Tuesday of September. That Tuesday, while she took the 30-minute bus trip to the college, she gazed out the window to her left, at the large verdant orange, red and yellow small mountain on top of which was the college. While she was gazing, she imagined the man that she wanted to be her husband. He would have a tough personality and build, with dark, piercing brown eyes, and short, almost shaved, dark brown hair. She already felt an abstract soul connection with this prospect. As she was dreaming, Jehovah knit together her prospective husband and placed him in the sands of time to appear at the right time.
