Preface
Money makes the world go round.
At least that is what a famous rapper said. However, for most of us, things are a little more complicated. Our money is in much shorter supply than the average hip-hop superstar. So even though this could be us,
living a life a luxury, money just doesn’t make the world go around. Instead, money is our entire world and identity.
It seems that in 2017, a familiar choice facing many millennials is, Should I splurge on these Louboutin heels to stand out in the crowd? Or should I pay the rent that’s due on the first of the month?
It would seem like choosing between adulting
and acquiring a new pair of shoes wouldn’t be an issue, but truthfully, debt and money management are the largest challenges facing Americans today. Managing money requires routine discipline and prioritization.
When it comes to money and credit, how you utilize it is just as important as how much you have. One quote that I personally love and sometimes leave in the signature of my emails is, To get somewhere you’ve never been before, you have to do something you’ve never done before.
That is the purpose of this book—to assist you in reaching those financial goals that often seem impossible to achieve. As you read through the chapters, I will provide advice, information and share my stories. Through it all, remember one thing ➔ SHIT HAPPENS.
How you respond to shit happening will determine how you succeed.
Chapter One
