About this ebook

Throughout this book youll read about very important prophesied biblical events that have already occurred, leading right up to the beginning of the Church Age. Also explore what occurs during and after the Church Age.

Our entire reference has been Gods Holy Word (KJV); the goal of this book is not to give you thoughts or comments of the author or others, because these would be no less erroneous and misleading than many already given and recorded. Only Gods Holy Spirit knows the mind and intent of almighty God, the Father. He promised that He would teach us and make Gods mind and intent known to us. My prayer for this book is based on Proverbs 22:21: That I might make thee to know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightest be able to answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee.

I most sincerely hope and pray that in regard to each subject in this book, you will do as the Bereans did. Verify every word in this book with Gods word. It is Gods will that each person should be personally convinced and persuaded.

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to my faithful and loving wife, Denise, who was very instrumental in inspiring me to write this book.

I dedicate it also to my deceased parents, William Samuel Haffenden and Hannah Elizabeth. Like Abraham, they died not seeing but believing in God’s promises. They had faith in God’s Holy Word for the true and fruitful salvation through Jesus Christ for their nine children.

    Introduction

T he first three chapters of this book give a partial account of how I was persuaded to seek and record God’s truth on specific biblical prophesies and doctrines. However, the first three chapters are the final events of many in my lifetime, which produced this irresistible persuasion. It truly goes much deeper and much farther back; for much of my life, I have had the desire to learn, express, record and declare the truth of God. I have always been conscious that for the most part, many do not really understand and believe God’s truths.

I am eighty-three; I realize I missed my true calling by God many years ago to preach and teach His great, wonderful, and eternal Word and to serve him according to His perfect will and purpose. As I was approaching my forties, I made the unwise decision to accept a managerial position with an international firm, and my interests turned to pursuing fame and fortune.

By the grace of God, during the years 2002–2003, I cried from my heart, soul, and everything in me to the Lord for forgiveness as a prodigal son. He graciously forgave and restored me. Now, I simply and humbly do what I am able to do as God opens doors for me.

I was wonderfully enlightened by Psalm 127:1, which taught me the truth of salvation and restoration after my many years as a prodigal son. It taught me how to pursue God’s perfect will and achieve His purpose in my life. Anything outside God’s will and blessing is unfruitful and in vain.

This book offers illumination of what God has recorded regarding the foundation of the church, its purpose, and its ending

I use the King James Version of the Bible in this book; even with the old English words such as ye, thou, hath, verily, and so on, it is the most accurate English translation from the original, God-inspired manuscripts. Many newer versions have gone much further than simply eliminating old English words; they make use of the two previously rejected manuscripts, Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, and deny the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As mentioned in the early chapters, I treasure Psalm 127:1, and I will sincerely seek God’s mind and intent and not my personal views. I will be careful not to be influenced by any popular views and interpretations of others. I will sincerely seek only God’s truth in His Word. For that reason, He has sent the Holy Comforter to lead us into all truth. Furthermore, Proverbs 3:5 tells us very clearly to not lean on our own understandings on anything but to trust entirely on God.

This book deals extensively with this present church age (also known as the days of grace) and the conduct God expects of us while we are still living in it, the ending of the church age, and how God ends it. What follows is a thorough scriptural look at what will happen after the church age.

This book offers accounts of the prophecies of the ending of the church age, the bride of Christ being caught up to be with Christ, what immediately happens to the church after the rapture, and what occurs on earth after that. As the Holy Scriptures give different accounts of several important events, you will find this book does the same. It is very Holy Scripture supported by the Authorized King James Version Study Bible. I most sincerely want to confirm, unless God reveals His truth and gives us understanding, we will never know it and never be set free.

It is not my intention to offer my personal views and interpretation of God’s prophesies, promises, and purposes. This would not carry any more merit or authority or be less erroneous than many worldly and human viewpoints and interpretations. I am fully aware that the extent of accuracy and truth anyone can find in God’s Holy Word will depend entirely on the illumination that he or she hopes to obtain from the Holy Spirit. To the best of my ability and by the grace of God, this is how I will seek the truth of every prophesied and promised event.

God has promised that all those who truly seek will find, and I believe this with all my heart.

There is a very special Scripture reference that I want to establish as my most sincere prayer reflecting my heart’s desire about this book, Proverbs 22:21: That I [God] might make thee to know the certainty of the words of truth that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee [all those seeking the truth].

    Chapter 1

    An Interesting Dinner Table Conversation

E arly in January 2013, my wife and I were at a friend’s home for dinner and were talking about Montreal’s weather with the other guests from our church. The Montreal area had received about sixteen inches of snow, which caused most schools and businesses to shut down. Even so, this storm did not compare with the tremendous snowfall that Montreal received back in 1972. The entire Montreal area was completely paralyzed for many days by over forty inches of snow, and people there were able to move around only by skis, snowshoes, or snowmobiles.

This recent snowfall had postponed the funeral services of a dear church friend and long-standing member of Greenfield Park Pentecostal Church (GPPC). He had unexpectedly passed on in his sleep.

Since I started attending GPPC in 2003, I have witnessed several beloved saints and friends passing on as well as six of my brothers. We believe their spirits left their bodies and returned to be with their Lord and Savior. We find a wonderful and comforting truth in God’s holy, infallible, and everlasting Word that confirms that to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6–8).

At the dinner, we discussed who we were, what we were doing here, and what happens when a Christian experiences physical death. We also discussed the false prediction broadcast on TV and mentioned in the newspapers that the end of the world was to occur on December 21, 2012. It was just one of many false predictions of the end of this world. We remember the story of the boy who cried wolf once too often. We must not be influenced by these false predictions or those who cry Wolf! Satan, the great deceiver, uses such false predictions of the world’s end to desensitize us to the fact or even the thought of the world’s end. Regardless of all these false predictions, there is an end of this world coming as God’s Holy Word states, but the end cannot occur before certain other prophesied events occur. Even so, the ending of this world could be much sooner than we think. Satan, the father of darkness, lies, doubt, and deceit, does not want us to know the truth. When anyone learns the truth about God and His Holy Word, Satan becomes very upset.

During our discussion around the dinner table, several people expressed uncertainty about what will occur following our physical deaths and if there will be an actual end to the world. My spirit was stirred by the remembrance of what God stated very clearly in His Holy Word. It is not God’s will that any of us be ignorant or doubtful about our origin, existence, and future as well as that of all creation. I simply used my memory of what God clearly stated about our physical death or when the saints of God will be caught up in the rapture and scriptural prophesies of the end of this world with its heavens and the creation of a new world and heavens. Many important prophesies and events will occur between the death of true Christians or the rapture and the ending of this world and its heavens. However, at this time, we addressed God’s Word concerning the two subjects that appeared to be of concern. I tried to assure all that God had given us specific prophesies and knowledge on these two subjects.

It is definitely God’s intention that all who seek the truth will find it. God’s Holy Spirit will reveal and lead each true seeker to the truth with its accurate meaning, intent
