About the Author
Taiwo Tuki was born in 1964 and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Taiwo is the other half of a twin, whom were very identical growing up. Taiwo’s family, including five siblings, moved house three times in her early years. There were five girls and one boy in her family, all of whom were extremely close.
During the Second Republic in Nigeria, a lot changed for both Taiwo and her twin sister. Taiwo’s father was one of the political figures detained during the collapse of the Nigerian Second Republic in 1983, so Taiwo and her twin sister were asked to go and further their education in the United Kingdom. Taiwo initially attended Westminster College and later moved on to University of North London (now London Metropolitan University), where she worked and studied for a postgraduate degree in Business Management and later on obtained a postgraduate masters degree in Public Services Management.
Writing was a hobby that Taiwo took on whilst she worked at the University as a Project Administrator, putting ideas together for her department at the time. Her administrator’s role got her interested in writing for financial bids, and with the help of a good mentor at the time, she worked for over nineteen and a
