Acknowledgements
I would like to acknowledge all those people in my life at this moment along with those who have come and passed. Everybody has been an inspiration in one way or another, everybody has a life and every life has a story. I am grateful for being able to capture this; it permitted me to gain awareness as I go along on this path called life.
I would like to express gratitude to my friends for the experiences shared the heart to hearts and for allowing me to use their stories as a basis of my poems; apologising in advance for their struggle, however appreciating their incessant bravery. Also thanking my colleagues who have read my poems and given their input, for their everlasting support and valued criticism. I am grateful to my family for being there through thick and thin, for picking me up when I’m down and for their endless love and support.

This book acts as a portrayal of the inner emotions, spanning a quarter of a decade; it explores
