Introduction

Blessed is the man [that’s me] who fears the LORD,

Who delights greatly in His commandments.

In the scriptures, we see the power of God’s blessings. When I set out to write this book, I had a lot to thank God for. I looked at my life and realised that I am a truly blessed man. It was from this realisation that I thought it a crime against humanity and God if I didn’t share the wisdom that He has graciously endowed me with.

You hold in your hands a book that will revolution-ARISE the way you do business. It has the capacity to change the way you think and maximise your potential.

It is okay to be a young fool, but it is not okay to be an old fool.

Everyone is looking for a money solution. And because of that, I went ‘shopping’, as it were, for you. I made sure I also shopped in shops that supply high-quality goods and services. You don’t have to go shopping yourself. All you need is to unpack the package and cook your own recipes.

The principles are simple enough that virtually anyone can take and run with them. They are time-tested principles that have made many people ridiculously wealthy and rich. There are many get-rich-quick books and motivational books and tapes out there for those looking for such a scheme.

What you can accumulate is only limited by the thought you put into action.

This book, however, is written by direction of the Holy Spirit primarily to tackle the erroneous beliefs that plague the minds of many Christians today. It is okay to be a young fool, but it is not okay to be an old fool. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore choose to get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding (Proverbs 4:7).

It is not okay to live in poverty! Poverty is not a blessing, but a curse and therefore must be eradicated wherever it is found. I hate poverty in whatever form it comes—whether it is of the mind, the spirit, or the physical body.

Many people talk negatively about money. The question is this: if money was so bad, how come you work so hard for it? Here’s food for thought: When the United States Steel Corporation was being formed, it was born in the mind of Charles M. Schwab in the form of an idea he created through his imagination. That single idea was marketed for a profit of about $600,000,000. That’s not bad for a single idea, huh?

Everyone is looking for a money solution. If money was so bad, how come you work so hard for it?

Wealth and riches begin in the form of thought—your intangible asset. What you can accumulate is only limited by the thought you put into action. What is it going to be—a penny’s worth or a billion dollars’ worth? The choice is really yours.

Most people with a dysfunctional poverty mind-set pin all their lives and hopes on education and a job. The acronym for a job is JOB—just over broke. There is no job in the world that is designed to make you rich. You’ll read more on this in the next chapter.

Most people do not fail because they didn’t know what to do!

They fail because they do not do it long enough to get results.

I understand that there are those of you not necessarily of the Christian faith reading this book—there is something for you as well. It is a powerful book that will bless you. My determination is that by the time you finish reading it, you’ll be on your way to perpetual success.

Therefore, don’t just see this book as another motivational book, but a wisdom book. There will be times you’ll think that the material is lightweight and you already know what’s written in it—you will be right. I have kept it simple and direct. Most people do not fail because they didn’t know what to do! They fail because they do not do it long enough to get results.

You will be challenged throughout the book to kick the old school of thought out and embrace a fresh way of thinking, that of renewing your mind. And for those already successful, your challenge is to share what you know with those around you.

Do not keep the recipes all to yourself. You are already successful; therefore build a legacy for yourself by raising others not necessarily from your family. Again, don’t fall into the assumption that people know! Most people are seeking for ways to make their lives better. Your simple ideas could well be what someone else is looking for.

There is enough wealth and knowledge for all humanity, if at all we shared the responsibilities of helping those in need. By helping those in need, I do not mean sending them your secondhand clothes or tossing a coin while passing by! By help, I mean mentoring as many people as you can to get on that ladder of perpetual success.

Write books about your success! Set up training centres, and for those already doing it, there is still room for improvement. To those earnestly seeking answers, remember this golden rule: Monkey see, monkey do. Whatever you see successful people doing, make sure you do the same. There is no such thing as something for nothing!

You must be willing to learn fast and to apply what you learn equally fast. I challenge you as well as cheer you on. Arise and shine for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1). Go on into your wealthy place. And remember this, you are not in this just for yourself, but for others as well.

Chapter One

Perpetual Success

Success means many wonderful and positive things. To some, it might mean new things, financial security, a fine home, giving your children maximum advantages in life. To others, it means recognition in the society, fame and admiration, leadership. And still to others, success means freedom from such negative things like lack of freedom, fear, worry, anxiety, frustrations, and failure. Success to a greater degree means finding real happiness and satisfaction in life and being able to do more for those who depend on you. Perpetual success means all the above things, but in a continual sense. Perpetual success means uninterrupted success, unending in nature or form; it means finding the source and dwelling there. You literally build your home there.

Perpetual success is not magic. Every one is a winner in this circle. All it takes is a strong desire to succeed.

When a person is in a long-lasting flow of success, we call that person blessed or a genius. We say that he has found it. The kind of success I am talking about here is not a strike-once luck! This form of success is not based on magic or some unexpected lottery win!

Perpetual success is a deliberate, sleeves-up, hands-dirty kind of success that comes and remains as a result of your purposeful effort. Every one is a winner in this circle. All it takes is a strong desire to succeed. Every human being on this planet wants success. Everybody wants the best this life can deliver. That’s a fact. No one enjoys living in mediocrity!

Nobody likes feeling second-class and forced to go that way! Some of the most practical success-building wisdom is found in the biblical quotation, ‘ . . . if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20). ‘Faith can move mountains.’

Believe, really believe, you can move a mountain and you can. Not many people believe they can move mountains. So, as a result, not many people do. (The Magic of Thinking Big, David J. Schwartz)

Believing is actually seeing. When you believe, you have a potent connector to the laws of success and increase. The common people say, ‘I will believe when I see it.’ The uncommon, successful, blessed, wealthy and rich people say, ‘I believe it and therefore I have.’ The world is a playing field for those who believe. These are those who live in the realm of possibilities—a realm of no limits!
